Warm Up

Thirds:

This is a good warm up because it forces your fingers to move.

Tonguing

This is a good lick to get your tongue working. If you are going to be playing a fast tune, you should definitely play this one.

Dynamics:

In this Warm Up, Practice going from very quiet to very loud. For a harder challenge take it down an octave. Make sure the pitch stays the same. Don't go flat when you get softer.

Lower Register:

This one relaxes your mouth. The more relaxed your mouth and body are, the faster you will be able to play.

Others:

When I attended a Master Class, James Galway gave me this one, it is a very interesting Warm Up.

Make up your own, A warm up lick should include tonguing, technique, and anything else that you will be playing.
