Musica Reservata

Musica Reservata was music for the reserverd, music for the few. In order to appreaciate this type of music you had to be educated. This music wasn't not for entertainment, or for the ear. In the 16th century small educated circles of people would write such work. They expanded and developed chromatic compositions.
